My Work

I chose Aubrey Bodine to be my Master Photographer because I really like that he was a from Maryland and how he showcased Maryland's culture. I really enjoyed looking at all of his photos from around Maryland and places that were familiar to me. I was inspired to show how Maryland has changed and how it has stayed similar to Bodine's era.

My Final Photograph

I took inspiration from Bodine by taking my photos in Baltimore which is were he was born and worked all his life. I shot photos of the harbor since Bodine showed lots of Maryland's different waterways in his photos. I also captured how much the inner harbpr has changed by taking photos of the skyline and buildings.

My final photo shows my inspiration from Bodine because the boat and the water are the primary feature but there is also a building with smokestacks on the top. Bodine was famous for capturing Maryland's industry and waterways and this photo includes both of those. I took inspiration from the master photograph by the way I positioned the boat in my photo. I took a photo of the front of the boat just like Bodine did because I thought the ropes in both pictures give it some interesting composition.
